Natural stone like Peridot, Amethyst, Garnet, Carnelian, and others can vary slightly in size, shape and color. Color variations are normal for natural stones and crystals.
The photos on this page demonstrate the beauty of some variation. The photo on the right below has an assortment of 4 different stones and is grouped by type. Notice that in the strand at the top the purples vary in appearance but are all amethyst. The Designers working with these stones do their best to keep each design looking similar.
